High Street Cul-de-Sac Design Changes

The project team hosted a tabling session to provide information and get feedback from the neighborhood on Feb. 17, 2026, at the John Marshall Health and Social Services Center. As the concept design was refined, the team is looking to turn High Street into a cul-de-sac where it currently connects to Avenida Cesar Chavez. This recommendation was originally proposed in the I-25 South Corridor Study Phase IA (2014).

The design change would improve safety and traffic flow along Avenida Cesar Chavez near the I-25 interchange. Local drivers would need to use Walter Street to access Avenida Cesar Chavez.
